Six years of working in different Breckenridge and Boulder, Colorado, dispensaries licensed to sell cannabidiol (CBD) and medical marijuana products gave Stacy Roberts the opportunity to gain experience she now uses to consult with customers at the Hempra retail store in Naples she co-owns. Roberts also gets to use the valuable knowledge she acquired in a 600-hour program to study medicinal plants at Herbalism Roots, in Denver.  

“My work now is resembling much of what I did in the Colorado dispensaries, specializing in matching the customer with the right CBD products for their specific needs, such as relief from pain, insomnia, anxiety, arthritis and other health issues. For the best customer outcome, it’s very important to purchase the right product and use it on a consistent basis. When people buy products that they don’t use correctly, they don’t get the results they are expecting. That’s why educating customers and providing clear instructions for use is critical to the outcome,” says the Naples resident.

Roberts’ one-hour consultations are available by appointment only for individuals that prefer a personalized experience. “Generally, people either answer the survey questions on our website beforehand or come with a list of symptoms they are concerned about. Sometimes their list includes the prescriptive medicines they are taking so that we can make sure that none of our products will cause problems interacting with their medications,” says the licensed esthetician, who particularly appreciates helping individuals choose CBD products that help with their skincare issues.

It’s not necessary for customers to come to the store. "When they answer the survey questions on our website, we can choose the products based on their answers or they can make their own selections," says Roberts. "They can also call us. We have CBD in many forms, such as drops and tinctures, as well as edibles such as chocolates, gummies and lozenges. We also have others such as a breath mist in addition to skincare products, which are one of my best sellers."
