Skylight Yoga & Fitness: Yoga With a New Fitness Twist

A passion for fitness led Arceli “Pinky” Bacsinila, owner of Skylight Yoga & Fitness, in Naples, to help move the evolution of yoga along by combining the ancient practice with different forms of fitness training such as Pilates, kickboxing, kettlebells, weights and other resistance-type equipment that offers a full-body workout.


“Skylight Yoga & Fitness is a boutique yoga, Pilates, and fitness studio that provides a balanced approach to health and well-being, with classes that boost physical health, improve mental health and enrich spiritual health. I see the evolution of yoga as a healthy phenomenon. The new varieties of interpretations of a yoga practice help to make yoga more attracted to many people who would not otherwise be drawn to it,” says Bacsinila. She also offers group and private training and is available to teach in corporate and other business settings.    


TRX & Stretch: A high-intensity fusion class using TRX suspension straps to build core strength, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and range of motion. Stretching aspect improves flexibility blood flow and helps prevent injury.


YogaBox: Low-impact, high-intensity class that improves physical endurance, strength and flexibility, and reduces stress with non-contact cardio kickboxing, followed by calming and restorative yoga postures. 

 

Power Body: TRX & More: Build a fit, lean, strong physique using TRX straps, kettlebells, weights and other resistance-type equipment. By incorporating circuit and interval type training, the class also improves cardio fitness.  


Pilates Mat and Reformer: Strengthens and tones the body, improves body alignment and mind-body awareness using body weight or the Reformer’s pulleys and springs as resistance. A serious, full-body workout. 


Balanced Body: MOTR and More: The MOTR is part mini-Reformer and foam roller that greatly improves balance while also promoting flexibility, strength and agility. Individuals use resistance cables while balancing on a cylinder, working on upper and lower body strength and conditioning.


Vin Yin Yoga: A smooth dynamic flow sequence coupled with dynamic and static stretching that makes for a well-rounded complete practice.


Slow Flow Yoga: A slow and steady practice with controlled mindful breath that complements more muscular forms of exercise and activities.


Sculpt and Strength Yoga: Flow yoga combined with hand weights and light cardio produces an effective overall workout that improves flexibility and balance, increases strength and muscle tone, and enhances mental clarity.
