Mindful and Music Programs at Integrative Mindfulness

David Sawtelle

Paulette Grotrian, co-founder of the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness, will be a guest instructor at Integrative Mindfulness, in Bonita Springs, offering an eight-week mindful self-compassion (MSC) program for the first time in Southwest Florida. Following a free introductory talk at 9:30 a.m., February 13, participants will learn how self-compassion can help them work through difficult emotions from 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays from February 20 through April 10. A retreat will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 25.

The inner critic’s voice can often rob us of our self-confidence and inner peace. MSC participants learn to respond to difficult moments with kindness, understanding and self-care. Featuring up to 25 continuing education credits for psychologists, dieticians, social workers and mental health professionals, this powerful tool is based on the groundbreaking work of Christopher Gerner, Ph.D. and Kristen
