Tobey Burton, a pediatric occupational therapist, and Rhonda Schladand, a licensed massage therapist and life coach, will lead a Hellinger Family Constellations workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., February 20, at Eyes Wide Open Center, in Bonita Springs. Attendees will explore how ways of belonging and obtaining love in our families when we were children are the root cause of many current difficulties to reveal patterns and new possibilities for support and redirection.
Six Florida continuing education units are available for counselors, licensed massage therapists and nurses. Three levels of group participation are offered: representing, constellating and supporting. No knowledge or experience of the work is required.Burton, who moved to the area last year after working with families and children with disabilities in Louisville, Kentucky, for more than 30 years, has trained in Matrix Groupwork, women group dynamics and has facilitated empowerment support groups. A founding member and past president of Woman-to-Woman Kentuckiana, Schladand co-developed The Games We Play workshop and is a co-founder of the Center for Visionary Studies.
