All businesses in Collier County are required to follow mandatory recycling (Collier County Ordinance 2009-56) to avoid potential fines and save money in their operations. The Collier County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Department, the county department for waste and recycling, can assist in setting up recycling programs for businesses.

Businesses can choose their recycling hauling company and have the option to adopt a single stream process that allows them to put all disposables in one container.
