The Magic of Nomadic Living and Working ExperiencesNov 30, 2022 12:43PM ● By Linda Sechrist
A bit of a nomad before settling into the Naples area, Catherine Riley, owner of the Miracle Mind Magic Machine, lived and worked in exotic places such as Qatar, Mexico, France, Israel, Greece, Australia, Italy and New and Zealand before trying out domestic locations like Minnesota and Key West.
The Miracle Mind Magic machine is a hypnagogic light. It is not a medical treatment or therapeutic device. It explores consciousness as a state of health and well-being that is always available when not obscured by daily distractions and thought processes. Stepping back into the state where you can access this state of well-being can assist in letting go of any imbalances that may be expressed in our energetic, emotional, astral or physical bodies.
Originally from the UK, Riley has been traveling since she left home at age 18. “I’ve done a lot of immersive living and working experiences in those countries. I’ve been a yoga and meditation teacher, offered health coaching and nutrition, had my own massage school and taught cranial sacral [therapy] for more than 30 years. I think I used my traveling wisely by living, and training in the fitness industry and in massage in Auckland, New Zealand,” says Riley, who has always been interested in natural therapies.
“My mother was very holistic in her approach to taking care of me when I was growing up. In New Zealand, I met a practitioner who was a naturopath, osteopath and homeopath. I was so fascinated by his knowledge and experience he became my tutor and I his apprentice, learning things I would never have learned in any massage or bodyworker school. When I returned to England, I got married and raised two wonderful children. After they were grown and left home, I was bored, and they suggested I travel again, so I did,” she shares.
Today, Riley is a distributor for the Miracle Mind Magic Machine, which she demonstrates in 10-minute mini-experiences at health shows in Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach and Miami. She also offers the demonstrations at Goddess I AM, in Naples, and provides personal immersive experiences in potential clients’ homes; both by appointment only. “The Miracle Mind Magic Machine is an easy and new way to relax, alleviate stress, calm the body, help with sleep disorders, increase creativity and productivity, enhance cerebral blood flow and achieve a peaceful state of mind,” she advises.
Riley first experienced the Miracle Mind Magic Machine at a Mind, Body Spirit Festival in London, UK, in 2012 and found it expanded her consciousness, relaxed her body and instilled a tremendous amount of well-being, as well as connection to the universe. Having been in the health and wellness industry for many years, she wanted to know more about how the machine worked and its potential benefits. After researching the machine and using it on a regular basis, she found it had huge potential to dramatically improve people's lives.
“The original light machine was developed by a neurologist and a psychologist to help deal with stress control and to change brain waves to enter into a deep state of peace and relaxation. While sitting or lying down in a comfortable position, the 16 stroboscopic lights flicker and pulse white light at different frequencies on the forehead area, sometimes known as our spiritual center or third eye, creating an internal vision of bright lights, shapes, colors or images, with some people reporting psychedelic effects,” says Riley. “It directly induces a positive effect on the pineal gland, which is responsible for producing melatonin, a serotonin-derived hormone that plays a key role in our moods and sleep cycle. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter for mood and energy levels and often referred to as our happy hormone.” While one session can offer a profound shift, a series of six or more sessions is recommended for more profound journeys and long-term benefits.
