Napantla Gang to Present Two Events

The Florida Gulf Coast University Napantla Gang will present the Multiple Forms of Expression Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. on April 5 on the campus library lawn in Fort Myers as the final showcase of a yearlong civic design pilot program between MIT and FGCU students and faculty that has focused on the design principles of collaboration, expression, healing, systemic change and ecological solutions developed by Caesar McDowell, to consider for community development. An open mic session, hip-hop yoga, dancing, storytelling, painting, and more will take place. 

The next day, the organization will also host The Bonfire from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Cohen Center Ballroom. They will describe the pilot program, highlighting some of its impactful lessons for students and hold some interactive sessions with attendees; McDowell will make a presentation related to a national question campaign called America’s Path Forward; and Toni Moya-Latorre will speak on The Sparking Cycle and play a classical composition on the piano.
