World-renowned musician Girish will visit Naples to conduct two events at Love Yoga Center this month. He’ll lead a chanting workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 18 ($40/advance, $45/day of) and a restorative yoga session to live music and powerful Sanskrit chants accompanied by center yoga teacher Miriam Ortiz from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 19 ($30/advance, $35/day of).

Participants (no experience necessary) at the first event will explore several of the most influential Sanskrit mantras and gain practical guidance on integrating them into their yoga, meditation or pranayama practice. Girish’s chant workshops are integral to many yoga teacher training programs worldwide and are appropriate or all ability levels.

The following day’s session, a magical musical and yoga experience that allows for immersion deep into one’s practice and body, will culminate with a Sanskrit lullaby during savasana. Girish, with musical roots in jazz, world and sacred music, plays tablas, percussion, guitar and harmonium along with singing.
