Edric Brathwaite and Yuan Chang will soon begin conducting yoga and dance classes, respectively, at the Happehatchee Center, in Estero. Brathwaite’s sessions, which are particularly geared to those with special accommodations, are being held at 1 p.m. Thursdays; Chang’s the Art of Dance classes for all ages and skill levels is currently TBD. 

Along with sharing meditation techniques, Brathwaite will devote special attention to each individual’s unique needs, regardless of their capabilities, in a judgement-free environment. 

One of Chang’s main goals is for participants to learn to express themselves through dance, which will be stimulated via a variety of music to let loose and enjoy. “When we dance freely, we are able to channel the creativity inside ourselves,” she says. “I just want to provide people with an outlet.” This class is beneficial for those that want to learn body awareness, heighten their creativity capacities and further their love of dancing.
