The Estero Historic Preservation Citizens’ Committee (EHPCC), consisting of Koreshan State Park, Estero Historical Society, College of Life, Happehatchee Center and Councilwoman Katy Errington, District 4 city councilor, was recently formed to identify, preserve, protect and educate present and future generations about Estero’s historical, environmental and cultural heritage, especially the Estero River, all the trees and ecosystems supported on both sides and extending the Calusa Blueway to Sandy Lane.

The committee is inviting other area entities such as Florida Gulf Coast University, Lee County Environmental Services and the Estero Council of Community Leaders to either join the organization or to partner in related beneficial activities.
