Andrea Trank at Estero's Happehatchee Center to double class offerings

With new Faculty Coordinator Andrea Trank and new teachers, Estero’s Happehatchee Center is doubling its yoga and Nia (no impact aerobics) class offerings for students of all levels.

“Andrea is the perfect match for Happehatchee’s eco-spiritual mission,” says Genelle Grant, president of the board of directors. “She has a deep spiritual practice, is a skilled instructor for many forms of yoga, and she is an environmental activist and educator.” A former high school science and ecology teacher, Trank has certifications in yoga teacher training and yoga anatomy.

The center is an ideal setting for yoga in nature especially this time of year with elements like acorns landing on the Peace Pavilion’s metal roof, the wind whispers through the screens and birds chirping near mats are scattered around beautiful wood floors. “Anyone can take a deep, green breath in and absorb the life in Nature,” explains Grant.

Cost: $10 class. Location: 8791 Corkscrew Rd. For more information, call 239-992-5455 or visit Happehatchee.org.
