Poorman Expands Vocal Lesson Programs

Tish Poorman

Tish Poorman, a professional vocal performance and acting coach, is expanding private vocal lessons for all ages at her private studio in Naples. She recently introduced ACTeen for teenagers ages 13 to 18, a class that uses voice and acting as a way to express creativity and help mentor young adults to give back to the community through free performances at nonprofit organizations.
Previously a professional singer and radio and television writer and personality, Poorman was the founder of both the first children’s theater in Collier County in 1988 and Children for the Arts, which provides after-school theater programs for children and teens. She has worked with hundreds of vocal and acting clients of all ages, two of which have appeared as finalists on The Voice and American Idol, plus others that have pursued careers in entertainment.

“Singing lessons are not only inspiring and uplifting, but also a very healthy way to relieve stress, depression, anxiety and other problems related to stress and behavioral problems,” says Poorman. “You don’t have to be a great singer to take advantage of what vocal sessions can provide. They promote self-esteem, build confidence, inspire and produce feelings of joy by using your voice. Why sing the blues when you can sing the blues away?”

Location: 1338 Westlake Blvd. For more information and to make appointments for lessons, call 239-571-3305 or email [email protected].
