Alan Godwin, who is certified in alternative dispute resolution and a licensed psychologist, will lead Tired of the Drama?, a seminar, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., February 19, at the Eyes Wide Open Center, in Bonita Springs. Attendees will learn effective strategies that can be used to recognize and counter manipulation by others while setting healthier relational boundaries. The seminar will be interactive and is helpful and suitable for both mental health professionals and the general public.

Godwin has dedicated his life to helping individuals, couples, churches and workers develop better ways of handling conflict. He serves on the adjunct faculty of the Graduate Counseling Department of Trevecca University, in Nashville, Tennessee; speaks nationally on training mental health professionals in conflict resolution, the therapeutic process and dealing with manipulators; and authored the book, How to Solve Your People Problems: Dealing with Your Difficult Relationships, which explains how and why conflict goes badly and how to improve it.
