Jen Van de Pavoordt-Franklin, Ph.D., is a doctor of natural health and healing, an Affiliated Well coach and a 16-year veteran physical therapist with a grand diplome of French cuisine. Her husband, Rudi, an ex-medic and former tour operator, is currently a pilot, scuba diving instructor and boat captain. When the couple sat down to brainstorm ideas for their business, Adventure Lifestyle, LLC, they pooled their well-honed skills and talents with their creativity, enthusiasm and love of outdoor adventuring. They threw in a pinch of their passion for lifelong learning and a heaping portion of love and compassion for individuals that want to make lifestyle changes for the benefit of their health but lack the inspiration, motivation and understanding for where to begin.

The hours and thoughtfulness that Jen and Rudi invested in their collaborative business endeavor resulted in an introduction to an exciting lifestyle that has the capacity to challenge, entertain, deeply satisfy and maintain health for a lifetime. “Part of the challenge and the fun that our clients have comes from the experiences that they have exploring and finding what works for them,” says Pavoordt-Franklin.

Jen and Rudi enjoy inspiring clients and educating them about how to improve their health, not only by finding fun ways to get physically active, but also by focusing on good nutrition that tastes good. “We have lots of tools to work with, and two of the most outstanding are my abilities as a chef and the beautiful paradise that we live in. It allows for being outdoors year-round,” says Jen, who notes that Rudi speaks five languages, which is helpful with international clients.

Some of the adventures that the couple customizes their work around are their two sailboats, the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, walking and camping in the Everglades, biking and horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming with the manatees in Crystal River. The possibilities are endless.
