The Healing Properties of Far Infrared Rays
Dec 06, 2013 12:29PM
Far infrared (FIR) rays are an invisible spectrum of sunlight discovered by Sir William Herschel, a scientist whose research in the early 1800s led to the recognition of invisible rays of light such as ultraviolet and infrared. Felt as heat, FIR rays are an electromagnetic wavelength longer than that of visible light.
Easily absorbed by the human body, FIR rays are used in numerous FDA-approved medical technologies to stimulate a relaxation response and increase circulation. Health practitioners use FIR rays to help patients detoxify and boost the body’s natural healing and repairing processes. Coupled with amethyst quartz crystals to produce negative ions and amplify FIR rays, the combination produces temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and stiffness. It also helps the muscles relax and restores balance and energy to the body. Amplification by the crystals helps FIR rays to penetrate one to eight inches into the body.
Since 1988, Japanese and Chinese researchers and clinicians have completed extensive research on FIR medical treatments and report many amazing discoveries. In Japan, there is a Far Infrared Society comprised of medical doctors and physical therapists dedicated to furthering FIR research. Their findings support the multiple health benefits of FIR therapy as a method of serious healing capability.
