Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary & Blair Audubon Center is looking for volunteers to serve as guides and interpreters at its 2.25-mile boardwalk through a 500-year-old forest of giant bald cypress trees. The commitment is a minimum of one four-hour day per week between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., totaling 60 hours per year.

Audubon’s Corkscrew provides training for new volunteers and ongoing learning opportunities. Volunteers offer visitors information about local flora, fauna and habitat to enrich and expand the visitor experience at Corkscrew by engaging through interpretation, encouraging questions and helping to patrol and enforce sanctuary rules and boardwalk safety.

For more information, call Amy Kessler at 239-348-9151, ext. 111, or visit Corkscrew.Audubon.org.
