Eight students from Eden Autism Services recently participated in an Equine Facilitated Learning Program (EFL) at the Naples Equestrian Challenge.

The EFL and therapeutic riding programs at Naples Equestrian Challenge are enhanced by the dynamic presence of horses. Groundwork is the main focus of the program, which emphasizes the relationship between horse and human; depending upon specific learning needs, therapeutic horseback riding can be integrated. EFL can benefit those with autism by improving sensory integration, listening behaviors, verbal communications and attention span.
