Three’s a High-Energy Charm in Learning Nia
What’s a high-powered energizing blend of Latin, jazz and modern dance, martial arts and yoga that effects improved health and fitness? Find out by heading to Beyond Motion, in Naples, to experience the thrice-weekly one-hour Nia classes at 8:30 a.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, and 9:30 a.m., Saturdays, offered throughout the summer.
Created more than 20 years ago as a form of “fusion fitness”, Nia simultaneously addresses the body, mind, emotions and spirit, using a fun and energetic approach to cardio fitness. Classes, taught by owner Amy Lademann and Nia instructor Kristen Coury, are adaptable and safe for any fitness level―from beginners to highly fit athletes—and are geared to deliver cardiovascular and whole-body conditioning for a toned, lean, flexible body.
