Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Begins in October

Brett and Ravi Singh

Yoga students that wish to become certified in the ancient practice and discipline of Kundalini yoga can sign up for a 200-hour, Yoga Alliance-recognized course beginning next month. Ava Brett and Ravi Singh, with more than 40 years of combined international teaching experience, will lead seven, one-weekend-per-month sessions at Bija Yoga, in Naples, beginning with The Golden Chain, from October 14 to 16.

Sessions will be 75 percent experiential and 25 percent lecture, and each weekend will include at least 24 contact hours with the two teachers. Students may also accumulate hours in other locations where they teach. Additional requirements include 20 additional yoga class hours (taught by a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher) that students attend and document, various lifestyle considerations, and a personal Sadhana (spiritual practice) that students will be asked to follow each day.

Kundalini yoga is considered a powerful tool for excellence and self-growth, offering an accessible means for people to transform personal suffering into blessings and positive attributes. This training has been designed to create self-mastery and the capacity to heal, uplift and inspire.

Fee: $3,400; payment plans are available. Session times: 12-7 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturdays; and 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Sundays. Location: 1250 Tamiami Tr. N. For more information or to register, call 239-200-0680, visit BijaYoga971.com or email [email protected].
