The New Year has brought a new venue in Fort Myers to enjoy edible, artistic and musical treats. Cool Hand Luc’s, serving fair trade and locally roasted coffee, ethically traded tea, healthy snacks and vegan and traditional handcrafted ice cream, also strives to please customers’ ears and eyes at 2040 Collier Avenue, Unit B. “We really wanted to create a place for people to hang out and share music and art,” says co-owner Mike Cosden.

The shop offers both vegan and homemade organic dairy ice cream, made fresh daily in a variety of flavors. It’s also a venue for local musicians and artists to perform and display, offers free Wi-Fi and has a recycling program in place; composting all food waste is planned.

Co-owner Luc Martin says, “It’s an environment that’s friendly and a complement to someone looking for new music, art, alternative food and even ideas.”
