The Lighthouse of Collier has become a registered nonprofit organization affiliated with two Internet services, enabling two new ways to raise funds for conducting programs for the blind and visually impaired children in the county.

Up to 30 percent of the purchase price of products made available by approximately 1,600 retailers on GoodShop.com is directed to the user’s favorite charity; Lighthouse of Collier is listed in the Participating Nonprofits section of the site. In addition, for every search conducted on the Yahoo and Bing-powered GoodSearch.com search engine, approximately one penny can be donated to the user’s charity of choice.
