A hybrid Publix Super Market that opened in October at 8833 Tamiami Trail North, in Naples, blends a traditional store plan with the company’s GreenWise concept, offering shoppers a wider selection of Earth-friendly, all-natural and organic products. In addition to regular Publix product offerings, consumers can also ask for advice on food pairings from staff specialists in cheese, wine, deli and other departments.

Publix also closed its 27-year-old store in the Pavilion Shopping Center across the street, transferring workers to the hybrid store and hiring 60 additional employees, for a total of 200 at the 54,000-square-foot space, about 9,000 square feet larger than traditional Publix stores.
