It’s Celebrate the Arts Month in Collier
More than 100 events will highlight the fourth annual Celebrate the Arts Month in Collier County during November. Local arts and cultural organizations will present dance, vocal and musical performances; theater, art and photography exhibits; museum activities; outdoor concerts; and arts-related educational programs. Many are free, while others require reservations and tickets.
The events are sponsored by the United Arts Council, designated as the county’s official local nonprofit arts agency and responsible for promoting arts and culture. President Mally Khorasantchi believes that this is an exceptional year for the program. “It just keeps getting better and better every year,” she says. “Most of our arts and cultural organizations use Celebrate the Arts Month to kick off their official seasons.”
Collier County is home to 54 separate arts groups and cultural destinations, nearly 100 galleries and artist studios, and 500-plus resident artists and musicians. Program sponsors include Moran-Edwards Asset Management Group, the Naples Daily News, Comcast and Gulfshore Life.
