Under the guidance of trained and certified instructors, the classes are geared to meet the specific needs of pregnant and postpartum women in an ideal proportion of strength training and mind/body balancing.
Benefits of exercising during pregnancy include increasing circulation to the pelvis and womb, strengthening the body, reducing discomfort and building confidence in the birth process via specific exercises for pain management. Postnatal classes are meant to increase strength and stamina and connect participants with other women and babies.
Fee: Wellness members (price included in membership), non-members can attend 12 classes for $38. Doctor’s referral is necessary for all classes. For location addresses and more info, visit NCHmd.org.
